Armet Olandos Beal “Scoobie” was born on July 22, 1971 to Debra Beal and Ernest Pettis. Although he spent the majority of his time on the Westside, he grew up on the Southside of Chicago.
Armet graduated from Corliss High School and went on to attend Olive-Harvey College. At an early age he developed a deep love and devotion to God which he maintained throughout his lifetime. There wasn’t a single comic book reference he didn’t know and could beat you at any game you played (I never met a person who could win at Clue without using the paper every time).
Throughout his life, no matter where it took him, Armet always kept a love for his
family, especially his children.
He is survived by: His mother, Debra Beal; his father, Ernest Pettis; his daughters, Sriaroon Beal (Kimora and Kimbella), Christine Beal (Je’Mharion, Cartier, Carsen, Caleigha, Khalani, Vincent), Armetia Beal (Jaxstyn) and Amariana Beal; his sons, Armet Beal “Woo”, Krishun Beal (Kamille, Kaishun, Kaiyden, Kylee, A’Karri), Jordan
Beal (J’Kyra, Jordan, J’Kaila, J’Kobi, Jamiya), and Amarion Beal; as well as siblings, Ernest Beal, Hemoche Beal “Binky”, Bettye Beal, Marlon Beal, Ernestine Simmons “Tiney”, Evelyn White-Simmons “Winnie”, Quinetta Simmons “Turkey”, Monique Simmons, Armet Simmons “Lil Hoody” and Tyree Simmons.
Armet passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, he will be greatly missed.
