On April 15, 1963, Cheryl Denise Foy, was born as the seventh child to the union of Leon Miller Sr. and Marie Miller in Chicago, IL.
Cheryl accepted Christ at an early age and always believed her life was guided through the power of God. She was baptized at Third Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. She met her husband, Jeffrey Foy, later in life.
She attended Spencer Elementary, Bridgman Middle School and graduated from Marshall High School in 1981. She also attended Harold Washington College and Malcolm X College for a brief period of time.
Cheryl was a hard worker. She dedicated more than 15 years of service to Chicago O’hare International Airport working as one of their top Supervisors. Before that, she dedicated 10 plus years of her life as an employee of Chicago Housing Authority.
Cheryl enjoyed family fun, classic movies, Christmas movies, and let’s not forget shopping. Cheryl was a sensitive soul and loved with her whole heart. From the tears rolling from her eyes to the warm hugs she gave, she always made you feel her love.
Cheryl leaves behind: Nine brothers and one sister, Sylvester Gayton (Mary), Leon “Dock” Miller Jr. (Patrica, deceased), Charles E. Miller (Beverly Brevard), Marlon B. Miller (Lynn), Kelvin P. Miller, Jacquelyn Stevens (Ryan), Jeffery M. Miller (Maxine), Dewayne Nichols, and Kenny L. Miller (Mahogany); special friends, Barbara Harris, Reginald James and Katherine Hudson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends and family.
