Craig Young

Craig Young was born on April 25, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the third of seven children, born from the union of Ollie Lee Young and Velma Ruth (Powe) Young. 

Craig grew up on the west side of Chicago. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He attended YMCA High School and graduated in 1976. He went on to attend Lincoln University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He also attended Hampton University, where he took Master level courses. Craig worked various jobs over the years until his untimely death. 

Craig is preceded in death by: His father, Ollie Lee Young; niece, Sonja Jordan; nephews, Casey and Edward M. Jordan.

He leaves to cherish with precious memories: His mother, Velma Ruth Young; siblings, Sabrina Alia (Orioha Alia), Cherry Young, Olivia Jordan (Edward Jordan), Waverly Young (Sharon Young), Shawn Young and Lovice McCoy (Roosevelt McCoy); aunts, Ora Jones and Mary Carson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
