Desma Chavours

August 11, 1954 — February 12, 2024

Desma M. Chavours affectionately known as Ms.Yogi and PeachieMa was born August
11, 1954 to Lillie Mae Chavours and Jesse Chavours. Desma attended Horseman
Elementary School, Central Jr. High, and Alton High School. Later being a teacher
assistant at Madea Elementary School. She was an entrepreneur and had many talents,
cooking being the thing that made her the happiest. Desma was a strong, loving, caring,
mother, family member and friend. She was a very encouraging woman with so much
charisma. A beautiful peach that grew in the spring.

Desma passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024.

She is preceded in death by: Her mother and father, Lillie Mae Chavours and Jesse
Chavours; her sister, Latonya Allen; and a host of eight uncles and aunts.

Desma leaves to cherish her memories: Her uncle, Obie (Lynda); sisters, Michele, Jessie
Mae and Latasha; brothers, Dwight and Daryl (Lanecia); a special cousin/God sister,
Audrey Davis; her children, Hollis (Kimberly), Ebony (Nathaniel), Ivorie (Sorrel), Tianna
(Robert), Angelo and Antonio; her nephews, Hasani, Jamel, Jenzel, and a host of five
other nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Rasheeda, Deshawn, Brandon, Hollis Jr., Devin,
Nathaniel, Schmontelle, Desire, Destiny, Allen, Denzel, Aiden, Angelo Jr., A’Meilah, A’Mari
and Antonio Jr.; great grandchildren, Zamiyah, Kaliah, Robert, Kameron and Truth; fourteen great nieces and nephews; and a host of other loved ones
