Dinah Adams was born in Heth, Arkansas on October 21, 1940 to the
union of Robert and Laura Adams, who preceded her in death. She was
one of eleven children of whom seven also preceded her in death; Jessie,
Mildred, Leon, Leonard, John, Robert, and Laura Jr.
Dinah attended Palestine Grammar School and graduated from Lincoln
High School, in Forest City, Arkansas. She relocated to Chicago and
united in holy matrimony to Mr. Earl Bond (who preceded her in death),
and to this union was born a beautiful baby girl, Carolyn Denise Bond.
Dinah confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and continued her
Christian journey through the Mount Zion MB Church in Chicago, Illinois
under the leadership of Pastor Darnell Taylor. Being a gifted Gospel
singer with The True Ambassador Singers, she also sang and toured with
many other gospel groups.
Dinah worked for Siemen’s Diagnostics for many years. As she quickly
evolved into a smart business minded entrepreneur, she poised herself and
opened her own clothing boutique, “Bond Fashions”, where she was quite
successful until she retired. She was a great inspiration to us all.
Our beloved Dinah made her transition on Sunday, March 10, 2024, and
leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Carolyn (Willie) Grimes; one
grandson Efrem (Elisha) Beasley, and one granddaughter Williesha
Grimes; god-daughter, Laconnie; three great grandchildren, Emina,
Enahla, Elisjah; four special children: Linda, Valerie, Tootie, and Buster.
Two sisters, Canary Williams and Mattie Collier; one brother, MD Adams;
one sister-in-law, Clotell Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
other family and friends.
