Douglas Easley

Douglas Easley, Sr. Age 80, passed away peacefully in his home December 26, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1944, in Marion, Alabama to the late John and Sallie Lou Easley.

After graduating from Lincoln High School, he later met and married Mary Ann (Womack) Easley (preceded him in death, 2009). With their union three children were born, Kimberly, Sharnell and Douglas, Jr.

Douglas was employed as a security officer throughout his life in Chicago, IL. until retirement. He really enjoyed talking to people about the world and he was always up to date on the news, sports and politics. He also enjoyed spending time on the holidays and other special occasions with the family.

As the last Elder Easley siblings to leave us he is preceded in death by: His two sisters, Roberta Easley, Mary Easley-Brooks; and five brothers, David Lee, Willie James, John Henry, Johnnie Lee and Jimmie Lee Easley.

Douglas leaves to cherish his memories: His two daughters, Kimberly Easley-Ray and Sharnell Easley; and one son, Douglas Easley, Jr. of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
