He accepted Christ at an early age. Fred was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Jonestown, Mississippi. He was united in holy matrimony to Magnolia Malane on March 17, 1962.
He worked at Kropp Forge as a Manipulator Operator and retired. He loved and enjoyed politics, and campaigned faithfully for Aldermen, Congressmen, Senators, Mayors and our previous President of the United States, President Barack Obama. Fred was a member of the Independent Political Organization (IPO) under the leadership of Ruby Lozano, and a member of Operation Push under the leadership of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson.
Fred loved traveling especially to the south (Mississippi). He loved sports (basketball, baseball, football), and he loved to barbecue and eat. For dessert, sherbert ice-cream was his favorite.
