J.C. Young

J.C. Young passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the age of 93.

He was born on August 25, 1931 in Wilson, Arkansas to the union of Willie and Hattie Young.

J.C. left Wilson, Arkansas at the age of 17. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he stayed with his older brother Charlie, then he moved to Chicago, Illinois. 

J.C. worked as a Detail Specialist at Southwestern Dodge on the South side of Chicago where he prepared used cars for sale.

Later he learned to repair car radiators. He then used this knowledge to start his own business repairing automobile radiators. At his radiator repair shop a few of his nephews had the privilege of working with him throughout the years.

J.C. is preceded in death by: His wife, Dorothy; his parents, Willie and Hattie Young; his two sisters, Willie Mae Young and Jane Young; and his four brothers, Temp Young, Willie D. Young, Eddie Young, and Charlie Young.

J.C. leaves to mourn his passing: His nephews, Fred Young, Willie Young, Jimmy Young, Kelvin Young, Herman Young, and Andre Young; his niece, Johnnie Mae Brown; he also leaves behind a host of great-nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
