Susie Patterson was born on March 3, 1951 in Beleuh, MS. She was born to Lucious Johnson and Ollie Mae Harris. She worked at Sears Roebuck as a clerk for several years.
Those who knew her could tell you about Susie’s love for interior decorating, gardening, looking for bargains, as well as being a stylish dresser. However, her main focus was talking about and sharing with others her beliefs about God’s kingdom and the everlasting benefits it will bring. Through her example of preaching and meeting attendance, her love
for Jehovah became evident. She symbolized her dedication with baptism in 1970.
Susie and Albert became one in 1977. Both of them continued to serve and be happy together, making Jehovah’s heart glad. Together they had three children, Cedric (Tonya), Darius (Yolanda) and Nefretiri, who all serve Jehovah to this day. She lost Albert in death in 2011, and longed to be reunited with him in the promised resurrection hope. Sadly, on May 20, 2024, Susie took her last breath in this system of things. She is preceded in death by: Husband, Albert Patterson; mother,
Ollie Mae Harris; father, Lucious Johnson; and brothers, Robert Bridges and Walter Harris Jr.
She leaves to cherish: Her children; her grandchildren, Cedric Bridges, Jr, Ariyanna Bridges, Nathan Patterson and Jazmine Patterson; siblings, Carolyn Harris, James Harris (Barbara) and Michael Harris (Laura); two great aunts, Thelma Rodgers and Emma D. Fields; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
