Vivian Thurman

Vivian Marie Thurmon was born on November 4, 1941, in Lambert, Mississippi to the loving
union of Ode Mae and Homer Maurice Wiley. Vivian was full of faith, having confessed her love of
her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a true believer. Vivian was an active
member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where the spirit of singing uplifting gospel
songs grew in her heart. Vivian truly loved to sing. GOD gave her a ministry of music, and she
shared it with the World. Vivian attended Lambert Vocational High School with her brothers and
sisters and cousins (aka the Wiley Clan). Vivian spent many years working for Zenith Electronics
as an inspector of television and radio circuit boards. She also worked in the home health care field.
Vivian was married to Clarence Lee Thurmon and GOD Blessed them with 4 incredible children.

Reno, Evelyn who preceded her mother in death, Felicia and Dawn Michelle.
Vivian departed her Earthly body on March 15, 2024, at 6 pm. She leaves to cherish 3 brothers
Joseph, Homer and Larry. 2 sisters Debra and Sandra. 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
and a host of other family and friends. Our Mother has ascended to a heavenly place
where she is singing “The Lord Will make Away”.
